Bringing Dreams to Reality: The Wishy Washy Turangi

From 3D render to thriving business, Speed Queen helps turn vision into reality.

Every great business begins with a vision, and for The Wishy Washy laundromat in Turangi, that vision became reality through the support and expertise of Speed Queen.

Speed Queen created the original 3D render that brought the owners’ vision to life on screen, showing exactly how the laundromat would look and function before construction began. From there, the team provided layout design, equipment supply, and setup support to ensure the finished site matched the plan in every detail.

The final fitout captures the look and feel of the initial design almost exactly. The bright, open interior features the same mural wall and exposed rafters first imagined in the 3D render, blending functionality with character. Inside, ten commercial-grade Quantum Touch washers and sixteen matching dryers provide efficient performance for customers day after day.

Since opening earlier this year, The Wishy Washy has quickly found its place in the Turangi community. Locals appreciate its convenient layout, modern design, and simple cashless operation.

“Seeing our 3D design come to life exactly how we imagined it was incredible,” says the owner of The Wishy Washy. “The support we received throughout the process made it all come together smoothly.”

The Wishy Washy stands as an example of what can be achieved when planning, design, and reliable equipment come together. For those looking to build or refresh a laundromat, it shows how a clear vision and the right support can turn an idea into something real and rewarding.
